This coffee comes from the Konga washing station, located in the village of Sede, in the Yirgacheffe district of Ethiopia. Konga is about 4 kilometers south of the town of Yirgacheffe. We’ve always liked the Konga micro-region of Yirgacheffe for both its strong citrus and supportive stone-fruit favours of peach and apricot.

Aside from its near-legendary status as the “birthplace” of Arabica, there is much to love about Ethiopian coffee, including the incredible diversity of flavor and character that exists among its micro-regions. The nest coffees in the world are produced from the southwestern Gedeo Zone of Yirgacheffe within the region of Sidama. Coffee grows naturally and thrives in the lush Yirgacheffe forests, developing nuanced oral characteristics, articulate sweetness and sparkling acidity.
