Deiver Alvarez’s coffee is grown in the small municipality of Garzón, Huila, a place commonly referred to as the “Heart of Huila.” The people there are known for their hospitality and incredible coffee.
This particular lot of coffee is the very best which Deiver Alvarez produced in the main 2017 harvest which was picked in September. Pickings for the day and variety are kept separate and once processed are tasted and scored. Any coffees scoring in the excellent range are not blended, they are kept as a single picking, single variety lot. This lot is exactly that, the best of the best a 100% Caturra variety which is highly prized as a sweet, clean and delicate coffee with great complexity and length.
