This coffee marks the 2nd release to our special variety selection for 2017. An amazing and interesting coffee from El Salvador with a heap of body and finish that seems to go on for days!
Some history: Coffee was first planted at Helvetia in the 1960s with bourbon and some Kenya and Pacamara. It has 36 hectares of coffee, as well a 13 hectare area of pine and cypress trees. Helvetia is located 3 km away from the crater of the Santa Ana volcano that erupted in 2005, leaving behind a fertile layer of ash that enriches the soil. Helvetia and the Escalon family have placed in the Cup Of Excellence back in 2012 and it’s awesome to see their commitment to quality coffee has continued.
