Finca Toldopamba is a farm with a strong sense of tradition, having been owned by Carlos Alberto's family for over 50 years. His parents still live on the farm but it is Carlos and his wife Angela who now run it, with Carlos managing production and Angela overseeing cupping and quality control. They are committed to producing co ffee that is environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable.
Carlos knew he had to produce higher quality coffee in order to make the farm profitable, so in 2012 he shifted focus to specialty grade production. This more thorough approach has seen him be able to sell to new markets at better prices.
