Ethiopia, the birthplace of arabica and coffee's spiritual home. Coffee from this part of the world is grown on small plots of land by farmers who often grow other crops. When it is time to harvest, farmers will deliver their coffee cherries to a local washing station for sorting and payment. We have been purchasing coffee from Chelchele washing station in Kochere for several years and are always blown away by how sweet and floral it is.
This years harvest was delayed due to too much rain, however this has not affected the quality of the coffee one bit, you know the old saying 'good things come to those who wait', well it is certainly true in this case, we are thrilled to have coffee from Chelchele back on our menu.
