Nyeri, Kenya, is a land rich in wildlife, lush rainforests, and exceptional coffee cultivation. Nestled between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains, this unique valley enjoys almost perfect climatic conditions for growing coffee.
Around 1,117 small-scale farmers deliver their cherries to the Gathaithi mill, where the coffee is carefully sorted and processed. These farms are often only 1/8 to 1/4 of a hectare in size, with coffee being just one of several crops they cultivate.
Kenyan coffee is prized for its bright, vibrant acidity and delightful sweetness, and this year's Gathaithi offering does not disappoint!
