The Idido Washing Station is located in the kebele of the same name, which is considered a micro-region of Yirgacheffe, renowned for its deep red-brown clay soil and distinctive flavour profile.
When coffee professionals discuss Yirgacheffe—with its lush forests and exceptional climate—the tone often approaches reverence. The mystique and uniqueness of this region contribute to its ability to produce a particularly distinct style of coffee. The flavour profiles are typically fruit-forward, floral, complex, and very sweet.
In recent years, we have gained the ability to trace Ethiopian coffee to specific washing stations rather than just broader regions like Yirgacheffe.
This is our second purchase from Idido Washing Station, and this time we’ve selected a washed coffee. We are thrilled with the results!
