ABOUT AYLA BOMBE - ETHIOPIAN COFFEE WASHING STATION

Founded in 2010 and joining the Testi group in 2016, Testi Ayla Washing Station supports 375 smallholder farmers in Bombe, Sidama, near Bombe Mountain.

These dedicated farmers, each with about 2.5 hectares, grow unique varieties like Mikicho and Setami. The Sidama region of Ethiopia is renowned for producing the highest volume of high-grade coffee in the country.

This success is thanks to its high elevation, which provides cool weather for slow ripening, and ample rainfall. Combined with rich, fertile soil and pristine rivers and lakes, Sidama truly is a coffee-growing paradise!
