This lot from the Biftu Gudina cooperative is a smaller curated selection of organic coffees from Agaro, close to Jimma in the west of Ethiopia. The cooperative was founded in 2012 with the help of NGO Technoserve with the aim to improve transparency and quality, it now contains over 600 members.
The coffees selected for this lot were mostly grown 2000 meters above sea level by smallholders with less than 3 hectares per farm, each typically having 1500 trees per hectare and yielding just 100-200g of green coffee per tree.
Ethiopia is a special place for coffee lovers, and this special lot from Biftu Gudina is absolute magic.
