We’re back with coffee from Ture Waji for a second year running, and honestly, it didn’t take much convincing. Ture is the owner and founder of Sookoo Coffee, sourcing cherries from around 30 smallholder farmers in the sub-kebele of Bookisa, right in the heart of Guji.

Often dubbed ‘The King of Guji’, Ture’s deep knowledge of the region and obsessive attention to detail show up clearly in the cup. Every step of processing is handled with care, resulting in a profile that’s impressively clean and composed.

Thanks to improved sourcing transparency in Ethiopia, this lot is clearly identified as a mix of Gibirinna 74110 and Serto 74112 varieties. That clarity, paired with the consistently elegant flavour profile, is exactly why we were so keen to lock it in again this season.
