High in the fertile red-clay hills of Ethiopia's Guji region is the Danse Mormora washing station. This heavily forested area of Ethiopia is known for producing exceptional quality coffee, thanks in part to the high elevation and the ancient volcanic soil. Most coffee growers in the region are small-holder farmers who grow other crops alongside their coffee. During harvest they pick the coffee at optimal ripeness and deliver it to the washing station where it is de-pulped the same day.
The Guji region has developed a reputation for wonderfully floral and sweet coffee, and this lot from Danse Mormora is no exception.
