The Lovo family has a long history with their coffee farm named La Pradera which means "meadow" located in Neuva Segovia, Nicaragua starting in 1970. Unfortunately, the family had to leave the country in 1979 during a civil war known as the Nicaraguan revolution. Luckily for us David’s brother, Luis returned after the war in 1990 to continue the family farm growing Caturra and Catuai varietals. Today the farm is being managed by the two brothers, David and Luis who share their combined knowledge to better the farm, they are starting to experiment with new varietals, Geisha and Maracaturra to push themselves within the specialty industry.
The brothers have put together a delightful coffee for us to enjoy.
