On the slopes of the central Cordillera in Colombia, nestled in the heart of Tolima, lies the municipality of Anzoategui, home to the picturesque farm of Edgar Sosa and his wife Flor Alba Rojas. Originally hailing from the region of Cesar, Edgar sought better opportunities and moved to Tolima in 1997, where he began working as a cherry picker and met his wife. In 2004, he landed a job administering a coffee farm, where he learned the art of specialty coffee processing and eventually bought his own farm, Finca Mesopotamia. Edgar focuses on producing high-quality coffee and works alongside his wife and eldest child to achieve this goal.
Despite challenges, he strives for consistency in order to ensure the success of his farm, and hopes to pass on a piece of land to each of his children.
