The Gathaithi Farmer Cooperative Society comprises over 1,100 members who farm on roughly 143 hectares of land in the Nyeri region of Kenya. This year's harvest was a wet one, forcing farmers to have to pick their cherries earlier than usual in order to avoid losing their crops to excessive moisture. This hasn't had a negative impact on flavour though, quite the opposite, with this coffee displaying a wonderful cherry cola sweetness and that trademark Kenyan juiciness we love.
