Around 1.000 B.C. a pre-Colombian civilization known as San Agustín flourished the mountains where the Madgalena River is born. The civilization disappeared mysteriously before the arrival of the Spanish Conquerors, leaving its burial sites. The arqueological sites were discovered in 1960 by explorers and among them, they find the home to “El Alto de Los Ídolos”, home to several burial sites.
Los Idolos is now a group of 64 coffee growers with the desire of obtaining a higher income through the sale of high-quality coffee. So far, the group has focused on standardizing practices and improving their beneficios and drying patios, which has resulted in increases in quality over time. This is one truly special coffee and exclusive to Marvell St in Australia, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
