We’re so excited to welcome back Panfilo Cruz to the Marvell Street menu. Last year his coffee was a real standout on our filter line-up, so we made sure to book him again this season — and the wait has absolutely been worth it.
Panfilo farms in the Sierra Mazateca of Oaxaca, where he continues the traditions passed down by his parents. Coffee has been at the centre of his family’s life for generations, and today Panfilo honours that legacy while producing specialty lots that are full of character and care. A member of the Mazateca Indigenous community, Panfilo still speaks his native language, Mazateco, and is deeply committed to preserving both his culture and his land.
What you taste in the cup is the result of resilience and dedication: a coffee that carries the weight of family history, hard work, and pride in place. We couldn’t be happier to feature Panfilo’s coffee again this year — it’s vibrant, silky, and absolutely delicious.
