Tesoros de Zumba is born in the lush, biodiverse region of Zamora Chinchipe, Ecuador. Nestled in the Andes and close to the Amazon, the area benefits from fertile soils and ideal coffee-growing conditions.
The producers, many of whom are third or fourth-generation farmers, have preserved traditional coffee varieties like Typica, handed down through generations. They use agroforestry systems and sustainable practices, including organic fertilisers and beekeeping for pollination.
With guidance from PECA technicians, they’ve refined drying and fermentation methods to produce exceptional coffee. Each harvest is carefully processed and quality-checked in Zumba before export. The commitment to tradition, sustainability, and quality makes Tesoros de Zumba a true treasure of Ecuador.
