In the coffee-rich municipality of La Union in southern Colombia's Nariño region, lies the family farm of Carlos Estrella and his wife Tania, known as La Estrella. Carlos has a lifelong passion for coffee, inherited from his great grandfather and honed through years of learning from his father. Carlos took over the farm in 2010 and focuses on producing high-quality coffee while working with his family and father. La Estrella is a diverse farm with coffee, avocados, and diverse shade crops. growing Caturra, Pink Bourbon, Colombia, Pacamara, Bourbon, and Gesha. Carlos' goal is to win the Cup of Excellence and is currently working on refining his drying techniques.
