In 2008 Juan Pablo and his Wife Maria purchased their 14 hectare farm with an open mind to what they would grow. After gathering advice from their family and community and surveying the potential of the land, they decided to plant coffee trees for the conventional market. They planted Bourbon, Pacas and Pacamara, little did they know at the time, the perfect varieties for specialty coffee production.
After 7 years of growing conventional coffee and growing tired of low profits, Juan Pablo has spent the last 3 years producing specialty coffee while looking after the environment and creating employment in his region.
Hard work always pays off and we think this coffee represents that without question!
