La Venus comprises seven small-scale growers who ply their trade in the lush, misty mountains of the Jinotega countryside. The area is renowned for its fertile soil and abundance of native flora and fauna. Traditionally, coffees in this part of Nicaragua are processed using the 'washed' method. In 2019 the growers of La Venus began to process a small percentage of their lots using the 'natural' method. This produced an entirely different cup profile, which they have refined into the tasty coffee you are drinking today. These producers work tirelessly to ensure that all their coffee is of an incredibly high standard and are rewarded with better prices and an improved standard of living.
