Mozonte is a region of Nicaragua where coffee growing goes back generations, and ties to the indigenous culture and people remain strong. The ten families that produce Las Colinas have been working with Caravela coffee since 2012 to improve the quality of their coffee each harvest.
With the area receiving 1500-1800mm of rainfall each year the biggest challenge the growers faced was drying the coffee consistently after harvest. The installation of a drying facility by Caravela gave them greater control during drying and saw big improvements in quality.
The result is Las Colinas, a coffee bursting with sweetness, rich and chocolatey and a dream to drink, cup after cup!
