Luis Edgar Camacho lives with his family at Finca La Palma, on the hills of Palestina, Huila. His father bought the land, then died not long after. It was his mother who kept the family farm going, until Luis Edgar and his siblings were old enough to work it themselves.
Since then, Luis Edgar has kept pushing the farm forward himself, bringing in new varieties like Bourbon Rosado to build on what his family started. Starting in 2014, he's been experimenting with new fermentation methods, refining his process a little more each season.
These days it's Luis Edgar, his wife, and their children keeping Finca La Palma running, a shared, hands-on effort. This lot is a washed Bourbon with a winey acidity and intense strawberry notes.
