For Miguel Vera Nava, coffee is family work in the truest sense. He grew up in a coffee-producing household in Pitalito, Huila, and has now spent more than 50 years working in coffee himself.
At Finca Buenos Aires, he works alongside his wife, Luiz Miriam Vera, and their son, with each of them playing a role in the day-to-day life of the farm. It’s a family operation built on experience, routine, and a long connection to the land.
Miguel’s story is one of steady dedication. Over the years, he has focused on improving quality while keeping the farm rooted in the values that shaped it, care for the land, pride in the work, and a commitment to doing things properly.
Finca Buenos Aires sits under a canopy of native trees in the hills of Huila, where coffee growing is part of both the landscape and the identity of the region. For us, Miguel’s coffee speaks to the kind of producer we’re always proud to roast for, someone whose work is grounded in family, place, and decades of hard-earned knowledge.
