Andino del Oriente is the name of the Co-operative that 100 producers from the Macizo Colombiano area of Huila contribute to. This area is where the 3 ranges of the Andes meet and form an even larger mountainous range. This beautiful collision of nature creates many smaller micro climates essential for production of high quality coffee and contributes to the complex flavour profile of coffees grown in the region. These steep hills and high altitude help influence the bright crisp acidity and complexity you will taste in this coffee.
The coffee trees are grown amongst an array of tropical fruits to ensure the farm practices sustainability and provides diversity and adequate shade for their coffee trees. Caravela works very closely with producers in this region to ensure consistency and quality and always at the forefront.
We hope you enjoy this coffee as much as we do!
