El Cascabel is a producer group located in El Tablón which is a small community in state of Nariño and is engrained with strong indigenous and cultural traditions. The producers in this group are a part of a Co-Op called Cafés Especiales de Nariño which provide quality assessment and financial assistance to help them produce excellent coffee. Nariño is a department in the very south of Colombia neighbouring the Pacific Ocean and Ecuador. The diverse climate provides the cool nights which allow for coffee cherries to ripen slower resulting in the some of the sweetest coffee you'll find in Colombia, with a distinct citric acidity and great intensity making the perfect coffee for espresso!
