For seven years now, Eliberto Silva Tapeiro has been producing coffee amongst other products on his farm, Finca La Sierra. It’s located in the very remote village of Bruselas, Pitatlito within the Huila region. Being this remote comes with its challenges, the biggest being transporting his coffee off the farm and bringing in inventory and resources for growing coffee. Up until 2 years ago, Eliberto’s focus wasn’t solely in the production of coffee. That all changed when he delivered 700kg to Caravela and receieved an excellent price for the quality of his harvest. The potential of Finca La Serria was now blindingly obvious to him and producing outstanding coffee is his main focus. He is extremely proud of his processes and final product.
